ΤΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΝΎ
    Everyone's tastes in characters can vary but Data's resemblance to
    Spock is minimal at best.  On the surface they seem similar but
    beyond that they're almost opposites.  Data WANTS emotions and
    WANTS to be human where Spock WAS human and had an emotional side
    that he was always trying to supress.  To me they're like two
    starships passing in the night.  Plus, Data (along with Worf)
    supplies some very necessary humor to the show.  Picard just
    bellows while Data subtly cracks you up.  I think he's the most
    important character on that show with Worf a close second.
