Thanks, Ed....will check this information out, and (hopefully) get it working
correctly.

I FINALLY DID get mmon to set the TR light on my modem 'on', by doing a mmon
>>/t1&, but then mmon disappeared again.

I also got watch to do it, too, using the same algorithym.....

But, ever though the modem answered, nada.....
