ED>DA>Mo Big,
ED>DA> Heh, assuming that the dfir that the dragons in obsidian passage
ED>DA>use is the same as mage dfir (outside of damage spread), MRES doesn't do
ED>DA>a DAMN thing to it. I *TRIED* scripting my 41st Whr down there and was
ED>DA>doing ok, minus alot of resting, until a Young dragon decided to dfir me
ED>DA>for 70+ 4 rounds in a row... that sorta put a hamper on my ability to
ED>DA>script... not one stinking point oif reduction from my 136 MRES...

ED> Agreed, DFIR should be resistable. I can think of no honest
ED>reason why it should be exempt from a rule every other spell is forced
ED>to abide by. Besides, even resisting 50 damage, a high level Mage could
ED>still potentially get 160+ damage. More than I can say for other
ED>magic-3 classes, who get stuck at a cap of 120.
ED>Locke Cole, Astromancer (Level 28 Elf Druid) of The Gods.
it's not resistable because it's fire.. the mage makes a complex
gesture, and it's been casted already.. so now all there is is a big
cone of dragonfire hitting the target :) with sbol etc, it's casted AT
the person, not before.. +if it was resistable by 50, they could
potentially get damage in the 20's if it woulda been a 70 whatever cast
in the first place, which would suck
