Again, James is on the money. In Xinu, of course, you get a SIGCLD (or is it
SIGCHLD?) signal when your child dies, which is a lot better, IMHO. When *I*
write programs that are spawning each other and do not want to wait(), I have
the child send SIGCLD to the parent every time before it exit()s.
 Someone else could answer this, but I do not know how a parent shell knows
when its children die, but it does in OSK.
