Yes, I've been up the Great Hwy. of Calif. all the way up to Eureka, Calif.
and a wee past through Oregon.  My parents used to time bet with $$$$$
how fast, how far every weekend around a few states when I was little.

No doubt!  But the most beautiful sight I ever saw was looking down at
this Lake Tahoe, from the *beginning* of the Sierras, up in Nevada.
Talk about 360 degrees!  South shore ain't so shabby either, on a footies
level.
BTW, those Russians will be home end of the month doing comparitive
environmental studies.  I shall miss them, they were some of the nicest
folks and one of the most memorable 4th of July.  Did you ever just talk
to some folks and want to take them home with you????? Nowadays, background
checks come in handy...they used to send naughty folks in Russia out to
the tundra.
