 All that I have noticed is +10 mana... nothing else.....
 although went I gave the eye to the grey lord it said
 backstab damage incresaed
 stealth increased
 typed "ST" saw nothing different
 re-entered, had 112 stealth (gnome druid = no stealth period)
             and +10 mana with the *
 tried sneaking around and hiding, didn't work.
 about a week later the stealth disappeared.
 *To others - Is this a bug?*
