Paul -

If you haven't already, apply the patches that make your serial input buffers
larger. Truth be known, stock SCF's are dogs, and they can't pump serial data
very well... this translates to bigger buffer requirements. I was using a hot
rodded SCF on my GMX for a while that helped immensely.
