Joerg - sure, altho you have to hardcode the window number:

 xmode /w5 type=1
 shell >>/w5&

Or the like.  The "xmode type=1" tells cc3io that this is a vdg device. You can
have more than one.  Notice that all real window descriptors have type=80, btw.

I bet there are some vdg descriptors in lib 10 here somewhere.  Some people
have made /v1 /v2 /v3 etc descriptors just for fun, y'see.
