BI>GA>IN>Really? So what exact figures did you give me for cost of ownership?
BI>GA>IN>none. And that's what the bottom line is, and you just don't know. So
BI>GA>IN>don't say "you did" when everyone knows you didn't. Read the thread.
BI>GA>IN>Jeez. You're only fooling yourself.
BI>GA>What's this "everyone" garbage... I painted the picture for you what it
BI>GA>would cost. It just went in one ear and out the other.
BI>I'm part of everyone. You say that you jpainted a picture of the cost?
BI>It seems that you used water-colors (how appropriate) from crayola. The
BI>"answers" were non-specific, plug in the numbers you want type of
BI>answers.
Ok, this is for you, Inferno, and all other losers that can't admit
anything. I guess arguing with common sense isn't good enough for you
because you don't have any. So I will waste an entire 10 minutes of my
time backing up the numbers I gave with detailed explanations, all for
you. Let's say you own your car for what, 8 years? The average amount
of mileage driven in 1 year is about 15,000. 15,000 x 8 = 120k miles.
Gas prices average about $1.40/gallon nowadays. Camaro Z28's average 17
MPG. Integra GS-R's average 30. (120,000/17) x $1.4 = Camaro = $9,882.
(120,000/30) x $1.4 = Integra = $5,600. $9,882 - $5,600 = $4,282 lost.
OUCH. That's just for gas.
Now on to resale value. I'm looking at the classifieds section of my
paper right now, and I see 90's Integras ranging from $6,000-$14,000.
The same year Camaros range from $4,000-$8,000. Which means anywhere
from another $2,000-$6,000 lost. I also know that if you try to sell a
Camaro right after you buy it, you'll have to settle for the mid-teens,
while if you try to sell an Integra, you can get away with selling it
for only about $1,000 less than what you bought it for.
Reliability is the one that varies. I can't give you any specific
number, except that the Integra is 95% more reliable than the Camaro,
and that sounds like a HELL OF A LOT to me. That obviously translates
into at least another couple thousand over 7 years.
