Kevin,

Hey, you should know more about this than I do.  I have the source that Kent
made for a few months and found something in there about keep and active path
list to children.  All I know is it shows on the paths command, and there was
something diddling with it in Kents sources.  Other than that, I'm as dumb as
anyone else.

Someone needs to break down the Gshell code in this area and figure out what
they did.  You know anyone who has nothing better to do (grin) ????
