Ken,

You may want to make sure that you don't type

                del  .*

under the Bourne shell. The os9 shell will properly delete all file names that
begin with "." EXCEPT for the current and parent directory entries. I heard a
report recently that another shell for OS9, maybe the Bourne, will delete even
those entries, and then walk backwards through the directory tree to delete
everything above.
