Actually, the sscart driver does handle speech. I'm writing a program that
reads in a file line by line, and reads it to you.  My only problem is figuring
out the delay required before sending out the next speech string. I tried
peeking location ff7e, but it doesn't help. Do you have any insights as to how
I could determine whether or not the cart is ready for the next string of
characters?
