Hmmmmm. Queen Victoria's B-day is the only one in Canada that was changed to
a Monday. It's possible England changed it too. No other memorial holidays
or any other kind of holidays have been changed to the closest Monday in
Canada. Shoot we don't have a holiday for Canada's Prime Minister's B-day.
But that would be impossible to set aside a holiday for that. Most of them
are not in office long enough, they're out when the next federal election rolls
around. I think it would be kinda safe to assume that there are only two
countries if we leave England out that did that "gotta have a long weekend
switcheroo" and that's the US and Canada. I'm not sure the exact year that
Canada did that, but it's not been for that many years. When did the US start
doing that?
