Re:two-pass
Actually the user would see it if the assembler has an "ifp1" type directive, 
but I suppose you will just fake that on INCLUDEs.  I would also think that 
resolving variables would be more difficult if you want a separate data area.
 
Re:macros
Macros have always been supported as in-line code in normal assemblers.  It is 
possible for TIL assemblers to put an equivalent subroutine call in-line.
