William, whether it's one- or two-pass is an implementation issue. Shouldn't
affect the appearance to the user either way.  Actually, I'll probably use a
one-pass with backpatching, but the first iteration may be two-pass.

Yes, might as well support macros.  As long as I'm doing it, best to do it
right.  Macros are _ALWAYS_ supported as in-line code, by definition.
