A beta-test version of blarslib, my unix-compatability library for os9/68k is
available for anonymous ftp from smilodon.cs.wisc.edu. The compressed tar file
is 53128 bytes. (Source of course.) Smilodon also has source for compress,
tar, a number of little utilities I wrote (some of them available elsewhere),
TOP, diffs for porting GCC to osk (no confermation that they work, some people
have tried and failed), etc. ls-lR_pub contains the current list. Questions
about blarslib or my utilities should be sent to blarson@usc.edu. Questions
about the smilodon archives should be sent to pruyne@cs.wisc.edu.
Compuserve users who don't have direct access to the Internet should note:
compuserve now supports mail to and from the Internet.
bitftp@pucc.princeton.edu accepts ftp commands via mail and mails back the
results. (Send it the message "help" for instructions.) The maintainer of the
Internet end of the compuserve/Internet mail link has complained that the 9600
baud link can't keep up with the demand. (Compuserve should be encoraged to get
a higher bandwidth link and a local cache of ftpable files.)
I refuse to waste my money and time uploading things to compuserve. If someone
else wishes to do so, they may. Watch comp.os.os9 for further announcements.
(Ask compuserve why they don't get usenet newsgroups, not me.)
