exactly (basic09/mwbasic needs a better interface, editor).  Although I
disagree on you with having it modular (separate modules) would be better.  I
run into *lots* of trouble with packed basic09 programs (in which every
separate little procedure is a different module).  Although it is usually a
problem because of the 64K/8K at a time barrier.  I would much prefer
modularity at the source level but have it combine into one package in the end,
like C.
