For whatever it's worth, I just got done integrating some systems for the Air
Force, and the OCR's, scanners, and hi-res (4096 x 4096 x 12) digitizers we
selected either use the serial port or a GPIB (IEEE-488) interface. Haven't
stumbled across too many SCSI's.
