there is one alternative to the RS232 pak, BITBANG.AR (in DL10 i think)
contains a d communications. i've used it a few times myself back before i got
my RS232 pak, and it does work. it's a bit sluggish, and i wouldn't expect it
to be worth much at anything faster than 1200, but it does work.
