KZ>DO>IMO, real sports cars shouldn't have limited slip differentials. They
KZ>DO>screw everything up when you're turning.. anyone who's ever taken tight
KZ>DO>turns in hills while appling power should know the difference.. limited
KZ>DO>slip tends to make the tires break loose around tight turns when the
KZ>DO>power is on.
KZ>DO>---
KZ>What should they have then? A non-posi rear end is even worse for
KZ>cornering, unless your turning left. I know, because I only get power
KZ>to my right rear wheel, and anytime I make a right turn I can't push on
KZ>the gas pedal more than like a centimeter or the wheel will spin. So I
KZ>don't understand what you're talking about. The only other option is an
KZ>axle w/ the spider gears welded/connected so that both wheels get power.
KZ>But then when you make a turn it still will be worse than a posi,
KZ>because the outside wheel needs to turn more than the inside wheel and
KZ>with a solid rear axle it can't do that, so you get tire screeching and
KZ>worn tires. That's only good for drag racing. There's one more option,
KZ>that's the locker, but it basically operates similar to how a limited
KZ>slip differential (aka posi) operates. If you're having problems with
KZ>fishtailing through tight turns, it's not because of limited slip
KZ>differential. It's because of the driver not knowing how to take the
KZ>corner.

Exactly. What you're referring to about welding the spider gears is a
really bad idea, espescillay anything with some power. The actual
device to lock the axles up is either a spool or a mini-spool, which
neither should be used for street under any circumstances. (damn
spelling anyway)
