MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>Was just wondering why is it that the witchys on my board resist
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>and helpfull spells like 90% of the time but can get knocked off
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>mage spells and such..... I really feel this part of the game is
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>unbalanced. They should resist all spells the same way.. it shou
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>so dramiticly diffrent from one type of spell to another.....
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>Point of example.... Godheal versus Dragon Fire....
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>A witchy can resist godheal all day... maybe 2/10 get through bu
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>taken down by a mage with dragon fire like his magic resistance
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>exist....
MA>DE>SI>TH>CY>---
MA>DE>SI>TH>I completely agree with you. Someone said once before that it look
MA>DE>SI>TH>like one class or another was favored by WCC. I'd have to say it's
MA>DE>SI>TH>mages. Look at the insane amount of "mage only" weapons there are
MA>DE>SI>TH>available. How many weapons are there, that are "priest only" or "
MA>DE>SI>TH>only"? Very very few. Also, mage magic does an extreme amount mor
MA>DE>SI>TH>damage than comparable priest and druid spells. Look at the priest
MA>DE>SI>TH>spell agony. Its level 8, and can be completely resisted. Can the
MA>DE>SI>TH>level 8 druid or mage spells be resisted completely? Nope. Can a
MA>DE>SI>TH>priest cast a spell on a witchunter with any luck? Nope. Can a ma
MA>DE>SI>TH>cast confusion on a witchunter just about any time it wants to? Ye
MA>DE>SI>TH>And now they even UPPED the damage that the highest mage spell can
MA>DE>SI>TH>dragonfire. Its max is now what, 230? Whats the max on the highes
MA>DE>SI>TH>priest spell, divine fury. 119? 120? What about the highest drui
MA>DE>SI>TH>spell, elemental fury. I'm not sure, but I bet its pretty low too.
MA>DE>SI>TH>do mages get all the benefits?
MA>DE>SI>mages...mages are offensive thus they do more damage than the other
MA>DE>SI>classes..druids does medium offensive since they got healing..priest
MA>DE>SI>does minor offensive coz they have good healing. Another thing, I don
MA>DE>SI>think mages are getting much advantage in mod2..think bout it..mage st
MA>DE>SI>getting spells at lvl 30..dfir..a mage cannot achieive a max of 230 ti
MA>DE>SI>lvl 44....dfir has to be upgraded to balance a mage class compare to
MA>DE>SI>another class say a warrior, whos damage will keep increasing til lvl
MA>DE>SI>50..while a mage without the dfir upgrade will keep doing a lvl 30 dfi
MA>DE>SI>damage.
MA>DE>I would just like to defent the statement above...mages dfir got
MA>DE>upgraded to about a 230 or so max because there damage would stay the
MA>DE>same from lvl 30 on...dfir maxes at 230...my dwarven witchunter can crit
MA>DE>for 70 points max with his Manticors tail and he swings 4/5/5...that
MA>DE>gives me a max possible damage of 350 points in one round at level
MA>DE>34...mages won't hit a 230 dfir untill around 44th level personnally I
MA>DE>think mages should have dfir upgraded MORE so that they can keep up with
MA>DE>he other purly offensive classes..i.e. warriors and witchunters.
MA>DE>however I also think dfir should be resistable just like all the other
MA>DE>spells. As it is now Dfir is not resistable atall...I don't like taking
MA>DE>ful damage from spells like that...

MA>hrrm from what i understand dfir has no cap on it, and as for it being
MA>resistable, the only thing magical about dfir is the summoning part, i
MA>dont care how hard the witchunter concentrates hes not going to resist a
MA>big cone of fire surrounding him because there is nothing magical about
MA>fire

I agree with you on the basis that a whitchunter can NOT resist the cone
of fire surronding his ass. As for confusion and some of the other
spells like it, those a wh should be able to resist. Spells such as
confusion should be because the aren't I guess what you could call
"shooting" spells, but are spells cast directly on the person. If you
look at it, wh's can resist some mage spells, but mainly the defense
spells (blur). Although some spells are not going to be resistable.
