The problem is that the advantages that the NSX has over the other cars
in its class are really secondary when it comes to sports cars. The last
thing I'd worry about as a sports car owner would be mileage, handling
vs. skidpad etc. and even those things aren't that much better on the
NSX vs say the 300ZX or the 3000GT. Personally I think the NSX costs so
much because of its aluminum body... aluminum is very expensive to mold.
If they went with a fibreglass body I bet the car would be at least 20
grand cheaper. Don't get me wrong, I like NSX's, I just wish they were
either cheaper or go as fast as they look. If I were ever going to buy
one I'd get a used one =>.
