Exactly! Not only would IF-THEN-ENDIF's be time consuming, it would be code and
memory consuming as well.  My favorite loop is the WHILE-DO.  It makes it real
nice for checking for proper input.  I mean this:
  press=""
  WHILE press"5" DO
  PRINT "Enter choice (1-5) ";
  GET #0,press
  PRINT
  ENDWHILE

  is much better than this:

  10 A$=INKEY$
  20 IF A$="" THEN 10
  30 IF A$"5" THEN 10
