ML> MC> national sales tax like your GST. This way, if you can afford to buy

ML> MC> have GST or is GST just another way of extracting $$ from Canadians? I
ML> MC> think I already know the answer to this one. :>
ML>
ML> I LOVE your way of thinking. The answer to your questions is NO, to the
ML> first part and YES to the second part.
Yeah, yeah, just as expected. :> When I stopped at the boirder this time
with all my receipts from both trips, I found out that the minimum tax
amount PER receipt must be $3.50 for a GST refund for non Canadians.
This means that you have to spend at least about $45 per receipt. Most
things I bought were below $45, so the only refund that qualified was
for was accomodations. So, when I made all my purchases I quietly smiledin, eh,
knowing I'd get my GST back while Canadians all over complained about
the tax. I guess that laugh was on me. :>
ML> My way of thinking about such times, is, "In silence we remember, lest
ML> we forget." I know I stole that quote but that's how I think on the days
ML> we've been talking about, eh. @:)~~~~~~~~
That reminds me of another famous quote said by an elderly actor some
time ago: " If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken
better care of myself." Don't ask why, but that made me think of it.
