Agreed, DFIR should be resistable. I can think of no honest
reason why it should be exempt from a rule every other spell is forced
to abide by. Besides, even resisting 50 damage, a high level Mage could
still potentially get 160+ damage. More than I can say for other
magic-3 classes, who get stuck at a cap of 120.
