Jay, no, no way for the user to change the target of a message after it's
posted.  Sysops can tho... I'll take care of it.

I run into the same situation, and what I do is to do a Read Previous command
to back up to the message I want to reply to.  Ah, ok, you probably do also
usually.  You can however, delete any message you leave, so you could also
capture your reply, delete it, then go back and reply to the correct message.
