Yup ... it's the OSK way to append to an exisitng file. Converely, >- should
overwrite the contents of an existing file.

I'm running the stock MW shell ... SH, as it is now, has a major security hole
that makes it's use on a dialup system such as mine, unacceptable. I hear tell,
tho, that Carl K. has a rewrite on his list of things to do.
