MC> Yes! Yes! I have driven on a part of that route, but nt the full 49
MC> miles, at least I dont think I did. I see that infamous sign whenever
MC> I drive to North Beach Pizza. :>
You probably did, or else you never got to a throughfare to anywheres sane!
What infamous sign???????? It couldn't be a topless joint, they are
all famous.
ML>hehehehe....I know, my mother's house always just disappears under the snow,
MC> Where in the Bay area do you live? We have hail here on ocassion and
MC> even more rarely, we see snow falling, but it doesn't stick. usually
MC> the temps are over 40F and the snow falls as slush and melts upon
MC> impact. The last time we had accumulated snow in the San fernando
MC> valley was in 1989 when some areas had 6"! I still have the local
MC> newspapers from that event. The headline reads: SNOW STUNS SOUTHLAND:
MC> Heaviest Flurries in 40 years. :>
I live down in the Peninsula, south of S.F. About 30 miles south.
Geesh, I remember that headline, that was soooooo wierd! Must have been
right after our world famous Earthquake!!!! They are rebuilding that
smushed down freeway, finally, but sigh, no Central Freeway into the City.
Oakland got first dibs on the federal monies, and now driving everyone
crazy!!!!! Thank goodness I am not a politician, cause they got all their
work cut out for them.
I have seen snow/flurries/hail in SF tho... And mighty windy/cold weather
during the winter actually where I live. But that's OK. I've been around
the country and lived in colder winters, with less...
