Mike,
   Thanks for the window opening example, that is basicly what I have tried,
but for some reason it doesn't work on my machine.

   Hold everything...  I just tried Joel's printer setup program again and now
it is working. I'll go back and try those window opening test programs and see
if they are working. I don't know why its working now, I did make a new boot
but didn't add any new modules.
  I have to figure out what I did that worked.

  I'll keep you posted
