WIlliam, I don;t think it is a buffer size problem. In read you just specify
the buffer size as the 3rd. param. However, utilities like copy pre-extend the
file to the full size...this means that only one file allocation system call is
done...if you want to do the same use the create() call with the optional size
specifier.
