I'm starting to think that the ROMs might be broke.

I don't think it is a retry problem in init. From what I can see the drives
just never get accessed...I assume that the ROM routine would cause the LED on
the HD to at least blink.

I swapped the ID numbers on my harddrives (I have a Quantum LP105S and a Maxtor
7120SCS) but the same result.

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated. If someone happens to know of some
ROM offsets I can have a look at...
