Why are you so sure there's a problem with Shell+ and your repak utility?

About the only problems I've run into with Shell+ is in the wildcard stuff.
Things can get real hairy if the utility you're running has it own wildcard
routines.

Best bet is to diable shell+'s wildcards and let the utlitiy cope as written.
