One problem that existed back in those days (v2.2) was that OS-9 only did 256
byte sectors.  Some OS-9 ports required SCSI drives that supported 256 byte
sectors.  I don't know if this is true of the MVME-147 port.  It has been a
long
time since I have seen a SCSI drive that still supports 256 byte sectors.  You
also might try a newer version SCCS type driver.  The last SCCS drivers before
VCCS knew how to pack two 256 byte sectors into a 512 byte physical sector.
