How can I find out which software has been released as public domain? Our CoCo
club has taken a string anti-piracy stand and will not place copywrited
software on our bbs.  What is the legal status of software written or
distributed by now defunct companies?  Can distributio rights be obtained?  Who
own the rights to such software, the author or the distributor?  Any help would
be greatly appreciated, and beneficial to the Erie County Color Computer Club.
