ML> MC> Well, you're up north to me! As for the outreaches of Calif, it is
ML> MC> really beautiful north of Redding all the way up through Oregon. The
ML> MC> Cascades begin there and continue all the way in southern BC. They,
ML> MC> along with the Rockies and Sierra Nevada, provide some of the most
ML> MC> beautiful drives I have seen in NA.
ML>In Colorado, where I just moved from :( , there is a scenic road there calle
ML>the "Peak to Peak Highway." It is one of the most beautiful drives in
ML>Colorado, especially when the aspens are changing.
ML>The Peak to Peak Highway also has the distinction of being the highest paved
ML>road in the world (somewhere around 12,000 feet).
Do you know the number designation for that one? I'd love to drive it
with a certain special someone in my car. :> I-70 reaches 11,400 feet
right at the Dwight David Eisenhower tunnel, which has the distinction
of being the nation's (and maybe the world's) highest auto tunnel.
