Not quite, depends if you have full coverage or liability, a
friend of mine's brother, called the insurance company and asked them
how much a certain car would be if he only had liability on it and the
insurance guy told him it would be around 100 dollars a month for him no
matter what car he got, and he asked him if he got a dodge viper it
would only be 100 a month, and the insurance guy told him yes. True
that if you finance a car through a bank or what not most of them make
you get full coverage on a car, but there are a lot of people who have
enough money to pay for the car when they buy it, which is the easiest
way to go, dealers give you a better cost and you don't have to worry
about interests, so moral of the story is depends on the situation if
insurance is going to cost more for those 2 cars.
