I'm not clear on what you're asking about getting 'this message permanently
into my profile', so I'll guess a bit.

If you mean, how can you set X1K as your default protocol ... you can't. CIS
doesn't officially support the protocol and offers it on an as is basis.

You'll have to use it on the fly.
