I tried just using 1b 21 to select a window without a shell, and that didn't
work either. I did the following:

  iniz /w7
  echo "this is a test" >/w8

Hit  to confirm that the window was displaying; then back to /term.

 display 1b 21 >/w8

Nothing happened.
