subject: rangers vs. ninja

DS>So you're saying a dark-elf ninja should have 100 str, 60 int, 100
DS>health, 100 agil, 40 wis, and 50 charm? I'm sorry, but putting health
DS>and str to 100 is just plain retarded especially for a ninja. Also,
DS>raising wisdom and charm above the racial minimum before raising int to
DS>80ish is also completely pointless. I'm guessing that 100 int will bring
DS>about +4% to +5% to the crit% as compared to 60 int. That is much more
DS>useful than that 4 or 5 magic res or extra 10 gold for a fine
DS>broadsword. I see absolutely no reason to put str at 100 seeing as
DS>ninjas are supposed to lose two-handed weapons in the future anyways.
DS>It's just a blatant waste of cps.

Rewind the tape, when did I say to raise wisdom? And about charm, who
the hell cares about an extra 10 gold for the fine broadsword. I say to
raise charm by 10 or MAYBE 20 because you also get intellect and agility
"bonuses" out of it. It'd be nice if everyone who tried to talk to me
knew what they were talking about ;) .. And about health and str to 100
being retarded, especially for a ninja - That's one of the most
"Retarded" thing's I've ever heard .. UNLESS you don't plan on scripting
a whole lot. (If you plan on staying level 15 all your characters life,
go ahead and raise whatever you want). I'm trying to explain to you that
if you raise health instead of intellect your overall gain is higher.
You spend between 0 and 75% of the time resting (can be down to a half
of a percent for a good healer, or 0% if scripting an easy area), which
doesn't leave a whole lot of room for fighting (1/20th more crits isn't
a whole lot more helpful in the big scope) - Don't miss the forest for
the trees.
