ok...I just have one thing to say about the mage vs witchunter
thing...people keep saying "the mage can slow and confuse and the witchy
is messed up for the rest of the fight..." it would look something like
this.
mage cast confusion on witchunter
witchy crits for 70
witchy smashes for 32
witchy crits for 68
witchy crits for 63
mage trembles in terror but casts slow anyways
witchy crits for 43
witchy smashes for 24
witchy smashes for 30
witchy crits for 67
witchy smashes for 23
mage poops his pants and moves to cast dfir
witchy sees that manticors tail swing and dies of a heart attack....
at level 35 my witchunter swings 4/5/5/5 with a manticor tail and
believe it or not...thats the kind of rounds I get against mages...100
str, 100 agi, 90 int, 95 hea and charm and wisdom are at dwarf base
still...131 magic res... I crit at least 2 times a round...if a mage
wastes 2 rounds casting slow and confusion...which I WILL resist...the
mage is giving up several hundred of his/her precius few hit
points...and assuming that the mage accually lands a confusion on me, I
very rarely ever fumble when confused...I don't know if Its got to do
with the magic res or if I'm just to dumb to remember to fumble...I
guess that what I'm trying to say is that if you cast shockshield on
yourself, then com in and get a dfir off on me before i start smashing
your skull in, you may beat me...but if you piddle around with slow and
confusion...you'd be better of staying home and hiding under the
covers...
