Um, the Pi is just perfect for running a bbs. And if it weren't for QEMU and
DOS door games, I'd run my MBSE system (open to the public january 1st, 2019)
on a Pi 1. MBSE does not cause heavy load and if you tar-gzip you bbs every
night and copy it to a usb stick, you are quite safe with regards to the sd
card. at least this is what the new Wintermute BBS will be made of.

The "old" Wintermute BBS (the current one) ran Synchronet for 10 years
with only three downtimes to replace a dead sd card.
