> Hi Mary,
From what my eye specialists told me, if you are born prematurily you
can have many types of eye and retina problems. My husband has
macular degeneration and he is also very nearsighted. But his is
correctible by eye glasses and intraocular lense implants after his 2
cataract surgeries. I do not know how far away you are from Tennessee
but there is a world renown eye specialist in Nashville at the
Vanderbilt hospital His name is Dr. Donald Gass. I have heard that
some drs are recommending some type of vitamins for macular
degeneration. Also Mary if you are very nearsighted that does tend to
bring on various eye changes. I also have ROP and am getting used to
the changes my changing vision has brought me.
sincerely,
Deb
