Duh, that was part of my point.  I never said Mardi Gras wasn't for white
people.  I objected to the fact this lady seems to oppose the city doing
anything for anyone who isn't unemployed and black.  It was a racist
comment to object to a parade that benefits the city in a very positive way
based upon the color of the skin of those most likely to participate.  That
was the point.

Not if you need to eat and your getting cold standing outside with no
shelter.  That and pride in one's own circumstances is enough to make those
willing to work persevere.  They don't have time to stay depressed.  That's
the province of the non-working entitlement class.
