ml> TBH i dunno... it was developed specifically for the bluewave doors
ml> and clients but i'd imagine that it would work for anything compiled
ml> with that particular version of C... as long as all the bytes match
ml> up, anyway... but i don't recall if the entire binary section that is
ml> fixed is noted in the contents of the archive...

MT> Found it and perused it. The byte sequences are found in a couple
MT> of .BATs in the archive, but not in my EXEs (yet - looks like they
 MT> are PKLITEd).

yeah, i don't recall if i had to expand the exes that i worked with or
not... i seem to recall that the native os/2 version was not but that was
so long ago when i toyed aroud with it... the patch's author may be around
in here... i dunno... i'll leave it up to them to raise their head above
the battlements and make themselves known ;)

MT> Do you know if a patched door obviates the need for the patched
MT> readers? If not, I'm stuck with my current fix anyhow.

actually, no... if the reader creates bad dates which goofs up the To:
field, these patches won't do anything to fix that as these patches are
only for the C time/date library routines...

MT>> I also get grunged dates via Silver Xpress door, and would love
MT>> to fix both doors once instead of post-processing every time
MT>> someone uploads anything in either. :)

ml> isn't that one of hector santos' critters? won't he fix his sh!te?

MT> Yep. If he fixed it, I haven't found it. Don't even recall more
MT> than 1 Max version available. The Max version wasn't listed in the
MT> Snooze when he was passing out free keys years ago. The mail door
MT> link at santronics.com doesn't go anywhere and there no doors in
MT> the pricelist at the site. It's only here because one user asked
MT> for it when he showed up here after his favorite board went down.

yeah, you'd have to get hold of santronics to find out more... if/when you
do, you might also want to point out the above problems ;)
