Hello All,

Is anyone still working on (or willing to work on) MsgEd? I thought I
remember Andrew being part of the dev team from years past.

I'm not sure if it would be an easy task or not, but adding Synchronet
(SMB) support would be great! I noticed msged is a lot of C, whereas Golded
is a lot of C++, but the SMB support is functional in Golded and I was
wondering if it would be easy enough to add it to MsgEd?

Just pondering ideas. If it costs an arm and a leg it's not really worth it. :)

At the moment, MsgEd boots up looking perfect in a pure UTF-8 console. I
know it doesn't actually support it, but the area selection menu and all
other interfaces look good, whereas Golded is garbled now, unless I use
echo statements and change my font to accomodate the ansi-bbs type stuff it
displays, so I'd definitely be willing to make the switch without having to
setup a secondary node to support JAM or fidoconfig.

Obviously this is a stretch, but I figure it's worth asking at least.

Regards,
Nick
