| subject: | BUY THE BOOK? |
General background to my question: A few months ago, a friend offered me his Paradox 3.5/DOS, which he was not using. I thought it a good offer, and took it. I haven't tried it out yet, but intend to soon. Specific background to my question: In a bookstore the other day, I saw a copy of "ABC's of Paradox 4.0" for $6. The price is right, but I wouldn't want to buy a book that would have little relevance to this version. My question: how different are Paradox 3.5 and 4.0? If they're generally pretty close, I can be pretty sure the book's worth buying. (Maybe someone who has used Paradox 3.5 and HAS "ABC's of..4.0" could comment?) My effort to save time and bandwidth from unwanted advice: I have no money to upgrade to the current version of Paradox, WIN or DOS. I will use this version or none at all. So please don't advise me to do so. My gratitude: Thanks for your help! --- þ MegaMail 2.10 #0:REAL programmers do it in ASSEMBLER! --- QScan/PCB v1.15b / 01-0240 --------------- ** A related thread FOLLOWS this message.
