Ken,
IMAA is a special interest group that focuses on one type of aircraft and/or
flying. There are several other such groups out there and almost all of
them require AMA membership to belong. IMAA I believe is the International
Model Aviation Association (but I could be wrong, I don't belong). QSA is
the Quarter Scale group and there are many others. For the basic insurance
needs in the U.S. you have two choices, AMA or SFA. If you get involved in
the competition level of some of the special interests then you will need to
join their little groups as well. Hope this answers youre questions.
