The removal of it has been promised by them all. It started at less
then 5% and went to 15% over the years, with each party promising to
remove it.

Okay I know it was a manufacturing sales tax worked into the final
price, but things have not changed. It is not the result of better
wages etc, that when applied just don't make the arguement for GST
fly. Corporate Bay street companys wanted the GST placed on buyers.
They seen oh well it works in the USA and wanted it here. There
was no different price...just GST added.

Now GST is added to everything! No I doubt a manufacturing tax would
fly again with service being added...and is in no way anything to do
with manufacturing but is labour.

When I go to some places where I am not making a puchase of anything I still
pay a GST. Your arguement would not fly as mentioned before in this
GST tax on labour.

Oh well....I hope I have something better to do January 23rd...
