I could still do it if you wanted me to, but it would serve little purpose.
All it would accomplish is that your posts wouldn't show up on the mailing
list. The gateway would still work in the other direction so you'd still
see email gated from the mailing list to the C_Echo. Seems kinda pointless
to me...

The situations are hardly comparable - this is a legal activity which
results in no loss of life.

As I said, I'm OK with it.

To me, burying the hatchet is a unilateral activity unless explicitly
rebuffed. I therefore consider it buried.

Although only the C and C++ mailing lists are currently live and accepting
new members, I have other groups for both DOS and embedded work. I'd like
to moderate the embedded group, but I'd be just as happy for someone with
your level of expertise and experience to moderate the DOS group.
Yes, I still do embedded DOS from time to time, but at any give time, I'm
much more likely to be working with something else. Currently, I writing
firmware for a downhole directional drilling tool that uses a Motorola
68332 without any proper OS. (I have modified it to give it some of the
formal objects and services normally supplied by an OS, though.)

I'll keep that in mind...
