subject: monitor-destroying viruses ... ENOUGH!

Impossible.
Voltages internal to the monitor are not controlable externally.
The subject of hardware destroying viruses etc are off-topic here as
announced recently by the Moderator. They just simply don't exist.
Anyone wishing to re-open the discussion can send a working copy of such a
virus through to the Moderator and I am sure he will re-open the discussion.
I won't hold my breath waiting for that event.
Otherwise, any discussion is worthless and pure conjecture.
